I’m Here (Too)! BlogNewsWatch and BloggingPointers Now Have Same Blogger

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

Login problems solved, I am now ensconced in both places, having knocked down the virtual wall and made one huge great room out of both. Dude, the space.

So what’s being planned? Well, a couple of things:

  1. You’ll see less tips and tricks over at Blog News Watch. In fact, you won’t really see any. (Though I reserve the right to make mention of a post or two on this or other blogs on those topics at BNW; I’m also going to retain “Between Bloggers” at BNW, since that’s more news than “how to blog”, I think.)
  2. You will see many more posts, but shorter ones, at BNW. Posts here at Blogging Pointers will be meatier, longer, more substantive - and you’ll be lucky to get one a day. (Just kidding. You will get one a day. Like your vitamins.)
  3. Darren Rowse is going down. (Just kidding. Of course. We all learn from the Master.)
  4. I may - just may - consolidate some of the many categories over at BNW as well as here, to make things cleaner and more logically laid out.
  5. Finally, a complete mental breakdown is being scheduled for sometime in late November (dates subject to change, of course).

Looking forward to it!

Ultimate WordPress Plugin Directory

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

I am pleased to announce the arrival of the Ultimate WordPress Plugin Directory. I have heard many bloggers in search of new resources to find WordPress plugins and until now your options have been the WordPress Plugin Directory or The WordPress Plugin Database and don’t get me wrong both are great resources but there is always room for something new. I have often wondered why nobody ever combined the two and then, what about all of the little unknowns floating around Google, well that is the basics of this project. The directory has many plugins for you to start with and I will be adding to it regularly. I hope to give credit to many of the “unknowns” and of course the favorites.

There will also be a Plugin Spotlight post once a week, where I will choose a random plugin or you all can submit your favorites and I will briefly highlight that plugin for everyone. I am going to attempt to list the many newly developed plugins as they arise and please feel free to let me know of any you have found.

After many, many hours of research I realized how many plugins there actually were and decided rather than doing a list I would build a site just for them, nothing fancy, just a place to house the directory in some sort of an order as opposed to a random list that so many have attempted before me and without any further ado, you can now visit the Ultimate WordPress Plugin Directory.
I look forward to this new project and hope to see you there,
